Wild Peach

Wild peach, or Kiggelaria africana, is a tree native to Southern Africa, known for its beautiful foliage and unique fruit. Unlike the cultivated peaches, the wild peach fruit has a more fibrous, less fleshy texture and doesn't have the typical sweet peach aroma. It is not typically eaten fresh due to its hard texture and mild, slightly tart flavor.

The tree itself can grow up to 15 meters tall, featuring glossy green leaves that provide a dense canopy. The scent profile of wild peach is not predominantly fruity; instead, it carries a subtle woodsy note with hints of green, leafy freshness. During its blooming season, the tree produces small, unobtrusive flowers that may add a light floral undertone to the air, mingling with the more robust, earthy notes of its bark and leaves. This combination gives the wild peach a natural, soothing, and understated scent profile, distinguishing it from its sweeter relatives.
