Neptune Grass

Neptune grass, also known as Posidonia oceanica, is a type of seagrass native to the Mediterranean Sea. This marine plant forms large underwater meadows that are crucial for ecological balance, providing habitat, oxygen, and protection to a diverse range of marine species. Neptune grass has long, ribbon-like green leaves that can grow up to 1 meter in length.

As for its scent, Neptune grass does not have a strong aroma detectable under normal circumstances mostly due to its underwater existence. However, when washed ashore and decomposing, it might emit a mild marine odor — slightly salty and reminiscent of the ocean breeze mixed with a faint earthiness. This subtle scent is generally not as potent or noticeable as that of seaweed or other maritime flora.
