French Labdanum

French labdanum, derived from the sticky resin of the Cistus plant (commonly known as rockrose), is a prominent ingredient used in the fragrance industry. Predominantly sourced from the regions of southern France, this resin is collected either through boiling the plant or by combing it directly from the leaves with a special tool called a "labdanum hook."
