Daisy Tree

The daisy tree (Olearia solandri), also known as coastal tree daisy, is a small tree or large shrub native to New Zealand, particularly common in coastal areas. It typically grows to a height of 4-6 meters and features a dense, bushy appearance with slender branches. The leaves of the daisy tree are small, narrow, and leathery, presenting a grey-green color that contributes to its distinctive, lush appearance.

The scent profile of the daisy tree is subtle yet pleasantly aromatic. The flowers, which bloom in abundance from spring to early summer, are small and white with a daisy-like appearance, consisting of a central disk surrounded by petal-like ray florets. They emit a light, fresh fragrance reminiscent of chamomile or mild honey, with hints of green, herbal undertones. This mild and soothing aroma is most notable when the trees are in full bloom and is especially pronounced in warm, sunny conditions. The delicate fragrance of daisy tree flowers makes them attractive not only visually but also for their olfactory appeal, adding a gentle, aromatic element to the environments where they thrive.
